you have been looking forward to turning 4.... and 10! seems like you don't mind being 5-9 haha.

unfortunately we only have dry and wet seasons. i don't like rain because when it rains here it (pours) floods! but since i have no control over that, i'm just taking it as an opportunity to dress up xia the "japorms" way hehehe...

xia's back to school!

class was supposed to start last june 10 but the new place where the school transferred to did not finish on time. so school was delayed for a week...

xia could not contain her excitement to go back to school. she asks about her new school, teacher lizel, etc...

so you can just imagine her joy on her first day of school! and out of excitement, she just left me by the door of the school without giving me a kiss! haha. though i asked her teacher if i can go inside since it's a new place and i want to have a look...

as soon as she was in the classroom, the little tot puts her bag on the bin, took her slippers out of the bag, took off her shoes and puts on the slippers - all on her own! she is MISS INDEPENDENT hehe!

unfortunately i could not take pictures - as usual it's bawal... but of course i have to take stolen shots! haha my bad...

picked her up after school and ate ging told me that teacher lizel said that xia was very good in school... yay!!! i love it that she loves school!!!

fitting room buddy

i don't remember going into the fitting room to try on clothes when i was xia's age. i only started at about 10 perhaps. most moms i can see at shops just try on the clothes on their kids right where the clothes are :)... unless it's in a department store, shops which are solely for kids clothing don't even have fitting rooms (gingersnaps, twilo, mothercare, etc).

i can't do it now for xia!!! she started to demand that we go to the fitting room! while i know that it's the right thing to do, it just doesn't seem to be a "normal" demand for an almost 4yr-old kid.

tsk tsk she's really growing up so fast and "maturing" twice as fast! on a lighter note, i now have a fitting room buddy! 😉

can't stop myself from humming: "oh where, oh where is my baby xia?!"...

my ballerina...

today i granted xia's wish to become a ballerina...

i finally gave in to her pleadings since over a year ago. i set this aside before despite the fact that i know she really, really wanted it primarily because of cost. and i also felt that she needs to be more ready.

the school is very strict. first-timer kids have to go through evaluation and trial class first before they can enroll - which is a good thing because you don't get to waste your money if your kid ends up not interested or not ready for it yet...

xia passed the evaluation on june 1 and we were called for a trial class today. xia was in high spirits! 5 kids came and only 2 of them are on trial - the others (2 of them koreans) were regular students already.

i was so proud of my girl!!! she was so attentive and focused. she was having so much fun gliding and doing all the routines.

she ended up better than the other 2 regular students!!! and i'm not bragging. i got proof: she got 2 stamps on her hand - only 2 out of 5 of them got 2 stamps, the other one a regular student already.

i talked to her teacher after the class and the verdict: xia 's very good, she's ready for a regular ballet class. yahhooo, dream come true for the bulinggit!!! :)

all grown up!

we visited xia's pedia today for her flu vaccine. she was in the mood for picture taking so took a snap of her while in the car...

then i realized... she's all grown up :( why does it have to be soooo fast!!!
