thanks for the gifts...

we're beyond thankful to ninangs, ninongs, families and friends for the christmas gifts. they are all nice!

gifts from manila were opened up last dec 20 before we went home to cadiz. we used to bring them all along home to open up on christmas eve, but with limited baggage allowance, it's no longer practical. so we ended up unwrapping gifts twice :)

here are the stuff from manila-based ninangs, ninongs, families and friends. everything is awesome! :)



we dressed up the kids on dec 24 for their opening of gifts. ate jai and kuya matt were all dying to unwrap their gifts for days already so they were really excited that the time has finally come! :P

and of course, the little princess got her vtech camera! she has shown interest in taking pictures and just so she will not tinker my camera, i got one for herself - a toy version of course :) this can take still photos, videos and some games, too! she was so happy to get it...



Xia ended up getting a couple of hair accessories, a pair of cute earrings, many dresses/clothes which were all trendy and hip, a number of bags, several toys and a pair of shoes!



aren't they all cute? Xia is one happy kid because of all of your wonderful gifts! :)

picture, picture!

dropping by playstudio in robinsons-bacolod has become part of our itinerary as soon as we arrive home. it is the best alternative to the very pricey picture company in manila.

i love taking pictures of xia. i have collected several thousands of them already and i have no plans to stop taking snaps of her. she's growing up very fast... and in due time, her childhood will end up as memories - so there's no better way than to capture memories in pictures!

and nothing can beat the pictures taken by professionals :) the mama has been hoping to take professional course on photography but i don't think it will be realized anytime soon as that has been the plan for 4yrs now haha!

she loves this cart - and hope to find and get one for her when we go back to manila. she would look too cute going around the condo pushing this cart - the same way she does with her baby trolley :D



i love this closeup shot of her, i had this printed in 8r size!


she had no qualms using the umbrella as props for the pictorial. such an obedient model hahaha!



and to make it more fun - the cousins were there too! go see the bunch of pretty lil kids we have :)

xia's cute shots :)

xia has thousands of pictures and i have yet to file them all - and organize them accordingly. i will make that a project for 2012.

i stumbled upon some best shots of xia as i have to go through her photo directory for some of her pictures that ninang daydee needs. ninang dayds has something nice and creative on her mind again - and we're excited to find out! :)

xia gives back!

it's christmastime and the right time to share our blessings to our less fortunate fellows.

and xia has to be part of it!




our team in the office came up with a jollibee christmas party for disabled kids and their families. instead of us giving each other gifts, we decided to just pool the money and put up a charity event. we don't need too many things that will turn out as clutter anyway...

so we spent one wonderful afternoon with the kids of KASAMAKA foundation and of course JOLLIBEE himself!





xia had a great time at the party. though she's still very little to join in the games, she enjoyed watching the bigger kids playing and having fun! and she's just sooo behaved the whole time ;) i'm so proud!

aside from the fun and enjoyment, i hope xia will remember the value of giving and sharing. i wish that she grows up thankful for her blessings - and in turn be a blessing to others...

she's starting to appreciate clothes - and most of the time chooses her own shoes to wear. yes, she's a shoes girl. even with her day-to-day slippers, she has a say on it. so amazing that at this very early stage, she knows how to pick the right match to go with her outfit! kaloka in a nakakatuwa way! :D

i know i've said it over and over and reminded myself not buy too many clothes for her because she grows up very fast and she only gets to wear her clothes once or twice. but sorry folks, can't help it! in fairness to myself, i don't go overboard and don't get the pricey ones. i buy her branded stuffs (zara, guess, etc) once in awhile - but most of the time, they are only local brands which are affordable. also, we're thankful that a lot of ninongs, ninangs, family and friends buy her the cutest things :)

she will start pre-school next year and mukhang mapapalaban ako ng bongga in dressing her up everyday! but that gets me so excited - so bring it on hahaha!

i always have mixed feelings when i see my baby doing things on her own. happy to see her independent and being so proud of herself...

but sad too because i know in no time, she won't need me the way she does when she was little... :(
