#proudmamamoment

enrolled xia in the jammer class after completing the snapper.  while she did well already in her first swimming class, she did soooo much better in the next class!

and this was the proof!

she bagged the best dog paddler and best in survival swim awards!!! and she's the only one in the whole batch who got 2 awards!!!  how cool is that???  i'm beyond ecstatic!!! (hahahaha obvious ba with all the exclamation marks!!!)

aside from the awards, she was also called for an impromptu demo on survival swim with distress call in front of her batchmates and all of us!  boy, she was really good at it!  i can overhear parents and guardians saying "ang galing-galing naman nya ang liit pa marunong na talaga"... ay nakakataba ng puso!!!  woohooo, star student!!!

if there's a stage mom award, then I will definitely bag it too haha! i was the only parent who was there every single day for 20 days AND taking pictures and videos consistently.  ahhhh moments like these are precious to me.  i don't want to let it pass just like that.  minsan lang bata ang anak ko :)

kudos, my dear xia!!!  i have seen how you worked hard for it.  just keep on shining little one!  i am always here, your forever stage mom ;)

i thank my work (and my boss) who allows me to be a mom even at work time - and do flexi of course.  because being a mom is far more important to me :)

mother's day

i have always known that i want to be a mother.  i used to take care of my cousin when i was only 10yrs old.  her mom left for HK to work and she was left under our care one whole summer.  it was a joy having her in the house!

when i started working, nieces and nephews came one by one.  i pampered them by taking care of them on weekends and i bought them lots of stuff.  i brought them to malls for shopping sprees every christmas.  i love them all and they love me back.  they even call me mommy!

i have the mother instinct eversince the world began :)  it's true for my younger brothers also.  when our eldest brother passed away, i took the responsibility of ensuring that they will have a good life.

at work, my boss calls me mother hen.  he would often rely on me when handling people issues.  he trusted me with difficult decisions and discussions with our staff.  the most difficult one was telling one team member that she has to leave (with a package) because the priorities of the organization have changed!  the 1.5hrs with her have been the longest discussion i ever had in my entire career life.  there were buckets of tears and i tried to hold my own during that time.  she was a friend to me (same with all the rest of my team) so it's even harder to deal with.  good thing she understood that it was not my own decision but that of the company and we remained friends.  i don't want to be the bearer of bad news!  but my boss trusts me enough
for it because of the relationship i have with my team...

so...  having all that maternal instincts, i knew i was ready to become a mom since 30yrs old!  and i can't be happier when God blessed me with an amazing daughter when i turned 32!

life has been wonderful everyday since then!!!  xia made me the bestest person that i can be.  while most thought that i am quite an achiever and go-getter, i would drop everything for my xialove!

i knew then how big my heart is for loving and caring for family, nieces and nephews, godkids, friends and workmates but it seemed to have elongated a million times over when xia came...

no amount of words can explain my love for my dear xia...  and i am celebrating mother's day because this is the most important day of my life next to her birthday...

thank you xia for making my ultimate dream of becoming a mom come true!

xia was born to swim!

xia graduated today from her 10-day snapper 1 program.

and i had the surprise of my life when she was handed 2 certificates because she graduated from the snapper 2 program too!!!  there were only 2 out 5 from their class who achieved it, the other one was a 6yr old kid.  she was even better than 2 of her classmates who were older than her.  hurray!!!

couldn't be any prouder of my munting sirena :)

she's now accelerated to the jammer program.  that's P4,500 savings from snapper 2 class.  ang galing lang ng anak ko :)

summer swim!

enrolled xia in a 10-day swimming class and i'm amazed at how she's progressing.  she must really love swimming that it seems to be easy for her to learn!

the class starts early at 8am so i take time to bring her to the nearby village for the class and observe her before going to work.  i'm glad that we are able to get a good sked and i'm able to spend this time with her.  i don't want to miss any of her major activities.  and i don't fail to take pictures or videos everyday!!!  i am the only parent doing it consistently haha.  oh yes, i'm a certified stage mama! :)

anyway, here she is enjoying her swimming lesson...

will figure out next time how to upload videos using my phone.  i am just so proud of her.  and i'm happy that she is having fun while i know that this is also good for her :)  hope she can continue on ans we can find an accessible training school for her.  at sana indoor pool kasi ang itim-itim na ng anak ko hehehehe...
