boo bash + trick or treat = one happy halloween!

we had a long, tiring yet wonderful weekend!  xia had so much fun!!!  

the boo bash in the acacia estates was a flop though.  good thing the halloween party in the village saved the day coz it was a lot more fun!  

so xia dressed up in her batarina costume and kuya matt was a speed racer and later on changed to his dracula costume.  

they were goofing around the house while prepping up :)  

arrived in the venue on time and it has not started so we were advised to convene first in cedar crest's clubhouse.  the place was packed!  stayed there for almost an hour so we took lots of pictures to pass the time... 

the condo has scary decors by its fountain / falls area which kuya matt is always crazy about (the fountain or falls that is, not the scary decors hehehe)...

unfortunately, when we get to the venue, it was so packed already - it's almost hard to move especially with small kids.  the only thing we liked as usual was the photo booth.  

and of course meeting xia's bff - blair! 

we did not stay long - it was hot as it was in the open area with just canopies shielding us from the afternoon sun.  it was too crowded - we can't even see the stage anymore.  we just got our jollibee meal and off we went back to the village...  i was sooo disappointed with how it turned out.  the last 2 years have been a blast so i got so sad why it had to end this way this year... 

but anyway, as mentioned the party in the village saved the day!   

we came in late obviously but we still had a lot of fun... it was held in the clubhouse.  it was cozy... the venue gave enough space for kids to enjoy the games and run around.

and jollibee was here again! :)  so in demand si jollibee pati sa halloween parties hehehe... 

it was also an opportunity for kids to meet new friends... 

there was no photobooth but the backdrop in the makeshift stage made up for it as it was done nicely... so photo-op na lang with it :)

ready for halloween!

halloween is one of the most anticipated event of the year and xia is so ready for it now!  

i have signed her and kuya matt up for the "boo bash" in the condo and the new place which incidentally is happening on the same day!  so bahala na lang pano namin hatiin ang time, naks!  so in demand hehehe... 

good thing rom's sis came home from the US this october and i was able to get xia costumes from there.  rom has always been my saving grace for halloween costumes.  she was also the one who brought xia's kitty cat and strawberry costumes last year!  suki lang :D  she gets excited for xia everytime she orders for her online :) 

so what is xia going to be this time?!  well, she can take her pick!  

she can either be tinkerbell or batarina!!!

i can't also decide myself what will she wear.  the two parties are on the same day and i don't think there's enough time to change costume...  

so it's all up to her! :)  

reminder to myself:  i need to buy her stockings tomorrow to complete the ensemble.  

i'm one excited mom.  i know right! :D 

xiaism 101

just this weekend, i remembered two instances when i got stunned with what xia said.  

scenario 1:

we were having breakfast when she was busy just drinking juice.  i was prodding her to eat rice.  her mommy-la also asked her to do the same.  she probably got too fed up and she blurted:  

"everybody... don't bother me, i'm busy!"... 

mom and i just stared at each other as we were not expecting her to say that. good thing she delivered it in a cute way :D  


scenario 2:  

she made me carry her in the mall because she said she was tired.  nanggigil ako sa kanya and hugged her tight and pinisil-pisil legs nya.  

      xia:  are you angry, mama? 
      mama:  no, i'm not angry.  i'm just playing with your legs...
      xia:  don't play with my legs, it's not a toy! 

hahahaha - she has a good point!  so all i said was "sorry"... 


hay.... kids!!! :D 

xia's first gig

xia was lucky to have been part of the entourage of the pretty couple tito karl and tita jem.  it was a lovely wedding - and it happens to be her very first gig as a flower girl :)  

i tried to prepare her for it by making her practice the walking (with dan-da-ran chant) at home with an invisible basket of flowers.  i know she's going to do it but i'm quite worried too that she might not walk!  the wedding was in the afternoon and i was hoping she can take a nap on our way to the church.  but the excitement get into the way and she wasn't able to take a nap in the car.  which made me so nervous...

but she was so game for it!  she walked the long aisle... friends and other people in the church found her so cute as she's very small and yet she managed to do it on her own :D  *proud momma grin* 



she was so behaved in the church the whole time :)  

she nailed her first gig - and she had so much fun! :D  

isn't she the cutest flower girl?! :P

xia's special prayer tonight

xia prays before she sleeps...  she thanks God for everyone who loves her.  she asks that God keeps her safe and healthy.  

tonight... she has one special request.  

"Papa Jesus, please take away my cough"... 

the cough is back and i wish it's gone tomorrow.  she's on nebu again and i know it's tiring for her.  

and so i echo:

"Papa Jesus, please take away xia's cough"...

phone call

just want to mark this date.  

it's the first time that xia called me up in my mobile while i was in the office -  using mommy-la's phone on her own.  she just scrolled the phonebook and looked for m-a-m-a and dialled.  

voila!  

xia:  hi mama!  i go to the playground.  

(ok, fine wrong grammar as she came from the playground already when she called up).

mama:  hello baby, oh you went to the playground?  (of course, i did try to correct her).  

xia:  yes, with ate.  

mama:  that's good.  what did you do in the playground.  

xia:  i watched swimming.  

mama:  how about you, did you swim?  

xia:  no, because i'm coughing.  

mama:  oh you still have cough?  did you do the superhero? (my term for her nebulizer hehehe).  

xia:  yes, finished already.  

mommy did not think at first that i was on the line with her.  and she had the surprise of her life when xia was indeed talking to me as she did not assist her at all.  

not sure if it was just luck - but we can only tell if she calls again on her own next time... 

one word:  smart.  

hehehhee... 

proud momma moment :)

xia's class went to blueridge campus for their practice in preparation for the school's foundation day in november.  i was not expecting a lot from her since kids normally have a short span of attention.  

i had her tita rhea bring the ipad to capture a video of the practice. 

alas, i was surprised!  she's very focused!!!  she got pushed, others attempted to distract her - but she can't be bothered!  



and look - she's at the center, front row for their imba wimbo performance!  that meant something, right?  :P



another proud momma moment ;) thanks my little girl. i can't wait to see you on stage!
