xiaism 109: usapang ilong :)

i love xia's nose - it's cute with a nice shape.  matangos.  

so we had a conversation about it: 


mama:  you are so pretty.  i like your nose a lot. 

xia:  i know!  (haha delivered with conviction)  

mama:  can i have your nose?  

xia:  mama!  no, my nose is small for you... 

mama:  it's fine with me.  you can also have my nose if you like.  

xia:  hmp mama, you are already adult and i'm only a kid!  your nose is too big!  


toink!  ayan, napansin pa tuloy ang ilong ko :)  sabi ko na nga bang gusto ko ng palitan to eh hehehehe...  

the zoo trip without mama

while i was anxious the whole time thinking about xia going for a field trip without mama, the little girl was having fun with her classmates and friends!  

my discomfort was eased up actually when i learned that morning that tin - who's my friend and xia's classmates mom - was there to accompany nathan (as required by the school).  tin volunteered to look after xia also so it was quite a relief.  and it's a plus that i was able to see pictures of xia during that trip :)  

xia has grown, indeed!  and she can manage school field trips already.  it seemed like only yesterday when she needed me for everything :(  it's good though that she's still "clingy" and "needy" whenever we are together...  i should take advantage of it, it's good 'til it lasts...  

note to xia:  please don't grow up too fast, my not-so-little one....  

school field trip

xia is going to the ark avilon zoo today for a field trip.  the little girl was so excited since her teacher told the class they are going to see lots of animals!  she woke up giddy today even if it was much early than usual... 

but mama is feeling anxious because the school strictly wants the kids to be independent on the trip - so no yaya or parents allowed!  today when i brought xia to school though, i saw a few yayas and parents.  the admin said there are only about 4 kids who were required to have companions because they still need assistance (hahaha aka makukulit!).  well, i will take that then as a compliment that xia can manage already on her own - and i should know better that she can!!! 

i promise to shrug off the anxiety and worries and think happy thoughts instead!  xia is going to have a blast for sure - she loves the company of her classmates and teachers and more so, of animals!!!

mom had a guest at home one night.  the guest tried to talk to xia. 

guest:  hi, what is your name? 

xia:  hello. what do you want to know - my shortest or my longest name? 

hahahaha.  parang pang ms universe lang na sagot ni charlene gonzales: high tide or low tide?! 

this little kid can really crack people up!!! :) 

weekend highlights

our usual weekends are spent on tutorial classes, ballet lessons and sunday school / church service.  but we always make weekends special even if we do the same things...

xia became the star student again in her ballet class.  she got called in front to demo the steps to the rest of her classmates... ❤👯❤ my little girl has really found her passion in ballet!

we are working on a rewards system for her tutorial and ballet class.  if she gets more than 1 stamp in each class, she gets a prize!  just a cheap toy :) 

and since she's consistently good in both classes, we end up in a toy store after the ballet class. 

this week, she got beads as reward.  we both worked on it as soon as we got home.  and she enjoyed putting them together and making necklaces and bracelets!  look what she made for us!!!👌😍👌👍 cheap beads that turned out priceless jewels for me!!! 

 

and she wore her accessories up to sunday school!!!  too bad that my phone died on me, not able to capture how bibo she was in their activity in sunday school.  hopefully next week! 😉😉😉

no matter how redundant our weekends are, they always end up special... because any day that xia and i are together will always be special!!! 

water baby!

we spent the holiday swimming at the condo with close friends who we consider family.  we went early to set up the cabana we reserved for the day.  and as expected, xia went swimming as soon as she saw the pool!   

she was soon joined in by family and friends and they all had a great time with the water!  xia stayed for approximately 6hrs in the water!!!  it was gloomy the whole day but she got toasted still!!! tsk tsk tsk... we need papaya and calamansi to speed up the whitening process hehehhe!

it was fun seeing them enjoying their time together ❤. thanks God for the long, relaxing weekend!
