summer tutorial

we missed the summer class in AOS because we had to stay long in the province since holy week. so i enrolled xia in a private tutorial for reading and writing.

today, she started with teacher kat. she was so happy to get a very good mark! :)

teacher kat said she's very behaved and focused. she follows instructions and she worked independently on her worksheets...

this was an incident relayed by ate ging (xia's yaya)...  

a mama of a 1yr-old baby had an impromptu birthday treat at the playground in the village.  she brought along jollibee snacks and hosted kiddie games which the kids enjoyed - including xia.  

one of the games was "bring me what i want" and xia won by presenting her pink backpack!  when the mama handed over her the prize of P100 bill, this was what xia exactly told her:  

"i don't like money because i have MORE money!!!"   

everyone laughed of course!!!  

omgeee!  good thing i wasn't there - i'm gonna die sa hiya sa pagsisinungaling ng anak ko!!!  hahaha!

and take note, even if you have to ask her over and over again why she refused the money, she will tell you the exact same thing!  consistent sa kayabangan ang anak ko waaahhh!!!    

mama's birthday adventure

on my birthday i really wanted to go on an adventure with xia.  it was a weekend so i don't really want to waste it.  last year, we were at villa escudero with family and we had so much fun!  but this year, i only had to spend it with xia - as the rest of the family are in the province.  

i have initially thought about going to las filipinas de acuzar in bataan.  but my kaladkarin friend daydee had been there already and not keen to going back.  so had to find some place else.  tagaytay came to mind but i will not go there to just do the usual stuff.  so thought of going on a taal crater trek!  

spent overnight at days hotel and went on a trek on my birthday itself!  we braved the crooked road from tagaytay to talisay.  we were onboard the boat that took us to the foot of taal by 8:30am.  

after the 20-mins boat ride, we arrived taal and we were greeted by the people who took us to the crater via the horse ride.  xia and i had to ride in separate horses and she's so cute, she's the one always calling out to me and asking if i was okay :)  

she loved the horse ride - but i was a bit nervous for xia as the trek was just too complicated.  lol.  the road was narrow - which usually went downhill and uphill.  and it was so dusty!  good thing i had read it through travel blogs so we brought along masks.  

we found our way atop the taal crater after the 45mins horse ride.  and this was what greeted us - the wonder of nature!!! 

   

it was indeed a good way to celebrate my birthday!  and i can't be happier sharing my love for travel and adventure with my cutie-patootie :P
